The first time…

Trifextra: Week 100
This weeks challenge:
We are asking for a 33-word response to the following snippet:

The first time I saw. . .

Here’s the catch: all of your 33 words must be one syllable each.  We’re going low-brow on your this week.  Or not.  Can you class it up under these restrictions?

The first time I saw
a corpse
it was on the edge of our lawn
shocked at how stiff it was
I picked it up
and brought it in the house
to show Mom
She was not pleased

This is an awesome post! Love the word “corpse” with the prompt; it was a real attention-getter. Loved the ending, too. Great job providing us with a good laugh with your excellent post!

I can certainly imagine Mom was not pleased. That ending is the perfect touch to the rather dark, ominous start. Great job!

Jeez, pleased would be the farthest from what I’d be feeling too.
