Ligo Haibun Challenge 20/09 – 27/09

The white rose,  symbol of purity and innocence but also silence and secrecy. Facing certain death, a group of University of Munich students and their professor started the White Rose, a  secretive group dedicated to opposing the Hitler regime. Six of them were subsequently arrested and beheaded in 1943.
Every year since 2003, University of Austin Texas White Rose Society distributes 10,000 white roses on campus in April. One for each person killed every single day in Auschwitz.
It has been estimated that 1.5 million lost their lives in Auschwitz

This is definitely your niche, and unique style, which I like very much. Always rich with information, and often with a twist at the end. Yarnspinner also does this, and I really appreciate this very much.

Oh my goodness – I have just been transported back to a coach journey across Germany, on which I watched the film ‘Sophie Scholl & the White Rose’. Thank you for the reminder of this particular journey.
