Trifecta: Week Ninety-Four
 The Mask
Marcy is our office accountant and the bosses worship her. She can pinch a penny so tight that old Abe Lincoln screams.
This carries on into her personal life. She likes to say she is frugal, but lets face it, this gal is a tight-wad. Her clothes are from thrift shops and she cuts her own hair. Now this..
Marcy decided that she needed a facial. Did she go to a beautician? Hell no !
She had read somewhere that you can make your own mask with white glue. Spread it on, let dry, peel off. Cost: 1.45 with tax.
I’m not going to tell you that it did not come off, it peeled like an orange. What was left underneath was astounding.
The chemical reaction of the glue to her homemade soap had turned her face blue.
She sort of reminds us of something, we just can’t put a finger on it..

Oh my god. This reminded me exactly of this video, a *hilarious* news blooper:

    😀 !!!

Also there’s videos floating around YouTube of a guy who took in a lot of colloidal silver as a natural remedy and he ended up turning his skin *permanently* blue! It seems to be a real true story, I haven’t really investigated it at all, but I’m sure you can find out more if you look it up. Just in case you’re interested. Two real life examples of people just like the woman in your story! 😀

There’s cheap and then there’s wtf cheap.
I think that blue guy was on a talk show (maybe Dr. Phil?) I felt sorry for him because he seemed like a nice guy on the show.

Love it. Don’t take your work home though.

I might just have to try this. 😉 I remember my mum collecting all the old bits of soap together to make new bars – they looked pretty but never created much of a lather.

I’ve never heard that Abe Lincoln line before. I’ll have to remember that. I’ll also have to remember not to be too frugal lest I become a cartoon character!
    Thank you for linking up!
